1. How can I participate in the lottery?

For every Rs 1,000 purchase at MyFamily Grocer, you can register for our lottery program in-store by presenting your purchase receipt at the Parcel Counter. Once registered, you will receive an SMS with your lottery number(s) within 24 hours.

2. Do I need to register every time I make a Rs 1,000 purchase?

Yes, for every Rs 1,000 purchase at MyFamily Grocer, you qualify for one entry. With each entry, you will receive a new lottery number(s), increasing your chances of winning.

3. What should I do if I don’t receive my SMS with my lottery number?

If no SMS is received within 24 hours, please contact customer service at 651 2615. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, and Saturday, 8 AM - 1 PM.

4. When will the draws take place?
  • First draw: Saturday, April 19, 2025 – MyFamily Grocer, Centrepoint, Trianon, Quatre Bornes
  • Second draw: Saturday, June 7, 2025 – MyFamily Grocer, Centrepoint, Trianon, Quatre Bornes
5. How will the winners be notified?

Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email after each draw.

6. Where can I check the winning numbers?

Winning numbers will be published in Défi Quotidien and Lexpress newspapers.

7. What documents do I need to claim my prize?
You must provide:
  • A valid ID card (or passport for non-citizens)
  • Proof of ownership of the registered phone number
  • The original purchase receipt corresponding to your entry
8. How long do I have to claim my prize?
Winners have up to six months from the draw date to claim their prize. After this period, the prize will be forfeited.
9. Can I transfer my prize to someone else?
No, prizes are non-transferable and must be claimed by the winner in person.
10. Who can participate?
Any individual aged 18 and above, residing in Mauritius or holding a valid residence permit, is eligible to participate.
11. Can foreigners and businesses participate?
No, this lottery is exclusively for Mauritian residents and individuals holding a valid residence permit. Businesses and foreign visitors are not eligible to participate.
12. What happens if the lottery is modified or canceled?
Any modifications or cancellations will be communicated to the participants. MyFamily Grocer reserves the right to make changes to the lottery, subject to approval from the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA).
13. Is my personal information protected?
Yes, MyFamily Grocer complies with the Data Protection Act 2017. Your information will be used solely for lottery administration purposes and will not be shared without your consent.
